Don’t you just love the number 3? I sure do, after photographing Meghan’s three year portrait session at Nifong Park in Columbia, Missouri. What an amazing little girl! She’s full of silliness, giggles, oodles of new words in her ever expanding vocabulary, and an effervescent smile that makes me smile…lots. I’m sure that her modeling career is just right around the bend because she can strike a killer pose (and her mom picks out the most amazing outfits)!

I’ve been photographing little Meghan since she was 3 months old. What a gift it has been to watch her grow bigger and see her darling little personality emerge. I’m so blessed to have sweet faces like Meghan (and little brother Matthew) to photograph. Happy 3rd birthday Meghan!

One of the best parts of being a portrait and wedding photographer are the relationships that are built with my customers. I met Cassie and James two years ago when they were planning their wedding. It was an amazing shabby chic wedding at La Maison in Jefferson City, MO. She thought of every detail down to the vintage mason jars, old books and wild flowers on the reception tables to a fabulous chandelier overhead their woodsy ceremony. Just lovely.

Needless to say, I was thrilled when I heard they had a baby boy Henry who was turning one. Henry is such a sweet spirited little man with chubby cheeks and warm, sunshiny smile. On a beautiful evening last week we captured Henry’s one year portraits. Amidst the red barns of Nifong Park in southern Columbia, there were giggles, wiggles, yummy birthday cake and a bubble bath to boot. Such fun memories! Here’s a few reasons why being one is a pretty big deal.

Exciting news! My husband Kevin and I welcomed our first child into the world in December. We’re thrilled to introduce you to August Christian. Our lives have been transformed and it’s been a truly amazing experience. We fell in love in an instant.

I’m also excited to announcement that I’ve made my way back into the studio and officially started shooting sessions this past Saturday. Call or email us today to schedule your session. I’m looking forward to seeing how the experience of motherhood will enhance my photographic vision and artistry.

Thanks to all of you that brought sweet gifts and cards to welcome our sweet little guy. I feel so blessed to have such amazing customers that have become wonderful friends. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Special thanks to Jessica White of Love Tree Studios for capturing amazing portraits of our family.
