Fine Art Photography Recognized

A fine art image by Lana Eklund of Art & Soul Photography Inc.A few weeks ago at the 13th Annual Visions Photography Show at First National Bank in downtown Columbia one of my fine art pieces earned an Honorable Mention. It was an honor to be recognized by such a well-respected and artful judge, Gloria Baker Feinstein. On Thursday night, Sept. 25th Gloria gave a presentation which was so inspiring. Her style is beautiful and full of a certain reminiscence. It all helped me to remember why I feel in love with photography in the first place.

Teri - Amazing photos Lana. Congratulations on the Honorable Mention. Did you take the duck photo as well when you were in DC recently? And is that James in the pool of water? Wow. Good stuff. TeriReplyCancel

Lana - Thanks for the comment Teri. Sorry I’m just now replying to it…I did take the image of the duck in Washington right in front of the Lincoln Memorial. It was a beautiful night and I love the composition of the duck with the people walking on both sides of it. As for the other image, it is a self portrait. I didn’t see myself being so committed to the project that I wanted to get in the water so I did a bathtub photo shoot minus all the creepy crawly critters that would be present in the stagnant pool of water. Oh the things I do for art. 🙂ReplyCancel
