Two Weddings. One Love.

I recently photographed two really beautiful and different weddings, one at Church of St Mary the Virgin in Fulton, MO and the second at The Conservatory in St Charles, MO. These two weddings are great examples of how wedding styles can vary drastically and yet be equally momentous and stunningly beautiful. One small. One big. One in a cathedral built by bringing brick by brick from Germany with sections from the graffiti-ed Berlin Wall standing outside; the other in a green house turned wedding chapel in a quaint, charming little suburb of St Louis. I realized why I have kept photographing weddings for ten years now; each one is unique and there are always new challenges. Nothing parallels the satisfaction of being able to capture a glance, a smile shared between friends, the unexplainable glowing beauty found only on a bride’s face, the anticipation of lovers, the energy of a wedding dance, the sometimes obvious clash of two families colliding, and the joy that the two words “I do” can bring. What a thrill it is!

Cynthia Roberts - Lana took beautiful photographs of my wedding. She showed how breathtaking The Conservatory is. She captured all the right moments (and some of the not so right moments) that we want to remember forever. Like my two young children sticking their tongues out. Those crack me up every time I see them.
When I look at my wedding photographs, I get the butterflies in my stomach all over again. Thank you so much Lana for helping me remember this beautiful day forever.ReplyCancel
